Ambassadors of Xcellence: Freshman/Sophomores: The Ambassadors of Xcellence are a vital part of St. Xavier’s official shadowing program – Xperience Days. Ambassadors guide potential St. Xavier students around campus during their academic day visit and leave a great impression on students who are trying to choose their high school.
The Bomb Squad: The Bomb Squad is a student led cheering group that leads the student body in cheers for the sporting events. There is a fall Bomb Squad and a winter Bomb Squad. Tryouts are held in the fall.
CREW, Navigators and Bomber Pilots: CREW, Navigators and Bomber Pilots are the senior Homeroom leaders. Participation is limited and you apply at the end of your junior year.
St. Xavier Leadership Team: The St. Xavier Student Leadership Team (STL) is a community of juniors and seniors chosen to work with Mr. Eby and a host of other adults in the building to plan, execute, and evaluate programs of servant leadership in the school. The STL works with the development office , alumni office, campus ministry, community service, admissions department, and administration through Mr. Schroeder’s office.
Student Athletic Director Team: This team assists with the everyday operations of the St. Xavier Athletic Department. There will be one or two students designated as the leader(s) for each season (Fall, Winter, Spring) and he/they will conduct the meetings. Students will learn what goes on behind the scenes of the Athletic Department and will help with game day operations at the different home events. Students will also be challenged to cover sporting events as a student reporter and write an article for the website on the event they cover. This would be a good opportunity for those students who may be interested in pursuing Sports Administration as a major in college or for those students that like to be around athletics and contribute in a different way outside of playing.
Student Council: Student Council at St. Xavier consists of five seniors, four juniors, and two sophomores. These students are elected in the spring of the prior school year that they will be leading. Student Council helps create and implement such events as pep rallies, dances, Walk for X, and Musicfest.
Student Development Chairmen: The chairmen position that is generally held by 12 to 18 seniors each year has a primary focus of helping coordinate efforts by our students for the annual fund phonathon and annual Senior Class Gift program. These two events are just some of the many leadership opportunities you will experience as a Student Development Chairman. Students must submit a form in the spring to the development office if they choose to apply to be a SDC member. All forms will be reviewed and students will be notified if they are chosen to be part of the SDC.
X-ACT (St. Xavier Admissions Core Team) Juniors/Seniors: X-ACT members are selected by the Enrollment Office to be student representatives for St. Xavier. Students must have the ability to clearly articulate the St. Xavier experience in a meaningful way, by representing the school at preview nights, open house, entrance exam and more.
