Art Club: Art club is for students interested in experiencing the fine arts in a setting other than the classroom and learning about future possibilities in art-related fields and professions. Potential activities include visits to the Cincinnati Art Museum, the Contemporary Arts Center, the Weston Gallery, The Carnegie galleries, and Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park. Based on interest, visits to local college art programs, artist studios, and artist collectives are encouraged. Interactive presentations on contemporary art, current art movements, and influential contemporary artists will be included, and local artists, college professors, and gallery directors/curators will join the discussions. Last but not least, art techniques that aren’t possible due to the time constraints of our class schedules will be explored.
