The Varsity Lacrosse Bombers finished the regular season with a 13-3 overall record and wrapped it up over the weekend with the program's first ever MSLCA Championship.  They beat St. Ignatius in the semi-finals and Moeller in the finals to take the crown.  St. Xavier was voted as the #1 seed in Region 4 of the OHSAA Division I State Tournament and opened post season play on Tuesday night vs. Anderson High School who was voted the #16 seed.  The Bombers earned the right to host the game at St. Xavier on Ballaban Field due to them being voted the #1 seed.  The Redskins advanced to the 2nd round with a 13-12 double overtime win against Fairfield on Saturday.

The Bombers started a little slow but finally scored with a little over 8 minutes left in the 1st quarter and then rolled from there.  They ended up scoring nine goals in the first quarter and leading 9-0.  Seniors Johnny Marrocco and John Holcomb each scored two goals in the opening quarter.  The halftime score was 16-1 and the final score ended up being 23-1.

St. Xavier was led by senior Dan Klusty who scored 3 goals and had 3 assists.  Seniors Nick Shamsi and Connor Saxton also contributed with 2 goals each.

The Bombers advance to the 3rd round with the win and will host once again at St. Xavier Stadium on Ballaban Field on Friday, May 18 at 6:30 pm.  They will welcome the #11 seed Lebanon Warriors who beat Elder on Tuesday night by a score of 13-6 to advance.  Lebanon enters the game with a 12-5 record overall.
