Congratulations to Brian Reinhart who has been named the next Athletic Director for St. Xavier High School.
“I am very excited to welcome Brian as our new athletic director. With his background in campus ministry, service and athletics, Brian will be the perfect person to continue to integrate the school mission, including service and faith formation, into our athletic programs,” said principal Terry Tyrrell.
Reinhart has been working in Catholic secondary education for 15 years, with four of those years at St. Joseph’s Preparatory School, a Jesuit High School in Philadelphia. He currently serves as the Athletic Director at Chaminade Julienne High School in Dayton, Ohio overseeing 26 varsity sports.
“I am extremely honored to join the St. Xavier community and to join the long-standing tradition of Bomber Athletics, one of the best programs in the country. I believe my background in Catholic education and my passion and experience in Jesuit education and mission have prepared me for this important position. St. X has a tremendous reputation around the state and country and I look forward to working with the entire community to build on it,” said Reinhart. “I believe athletics is one of the best ways to strive for the magis and to truly live out and understand what it means to be Men for Others. I look forward to working with the alumni, families, coaches, support staff, faculty, administration, and especially the student athletes at St. X, to continue the long-standing tradition and continue to move the program forward together."
Throughout his career, Reinhart has served at a variety of high schools as a coach, teacher, mentor, campus minister, assistant principal, athletic director and student council moderator. He has also worked extensively with Catholic Heart Workcamp mission trips for the past 17 years. Reinhart has a Bachelor of Arts in Public Relations from The Ohio State University and a Master of Theological Studies from the University of Toronto.Reinhart will begin as Athletic Director on July 1, 2018.
