In the last weekend before the GCL Championships, the Varsity XC Bombers made the journey up to Rochester, New York where they competed in the McQuaid Invitational. The rest of the team traveled to Kettering, Ohio to compete in the Neal Charske invitational. In the McQuaid Invitational the Bombers placed second with 117 points. The team was lead by Senior Peter Dauenhauer who placed 6th with a 15:05. Next for the Bombers was Junior Matthew Hoak placing 18th with a 15:30. Next was Junior Joe Doogan placing 24th with a 15:24. Behind him was Senior Jack Hands placing 33rd with a 15:44. Next was Senior Michael Holly placing 37th with a 15:47. Next was Sophomore Tommy Walters placing 41st with a 15:55. Behind him in 51st was Junior Nick Mills running a 16:07.
The rest of the team traveled to Kettering, Ohio to compete in the Neal Charske Invitational. In the Varisty race the Bombers placed 14th with 385 points. First for the Bombers in 67th place was Sophomore Michael Hazel running a 17:14. Next for the Bombers was Junior Michael Srinivasan in 79th with a 17:21. Behind him in 80th was Senior Jack Brinker with a 17:23. Next was Junior Griffin Paul in 83rd with a 17:26. Behind was Junior Ryan Devlin Bergman in 96th with a 17:33. Next was Sophomore Jake Wheeler in 97th with a 17:33. In 115th was Senior Will Dunsire running a 17:42.
In a massive open race with over 825 runners the Bombers placed second with 41 points only 3 points behind the winner, Mason. First for the Bombers and in 4th overall was Junior Brian Mauch with a 17:40. Next in 6th place was Sophomore Luke Black with a 17:47. Behind him in 7th was Senior Alex Klas with a 17:50. Next in 10th place was Junior Z Komanecky with an 18:02. Next was Junior Dylan McKenna with an 18:06. Nice job to all the Bombers who raced this weekend. Next weekend the Bombers have a bye to prepare for the GCL championships.
