Grant House ('17) Wins Penn Station Athlete of the Year

Senior Grant House won the Penn Station Athlete of the Year Award yesterday as announced by Fox19 on Monday night.  Penn Station received nominations from across the tri-state area each month and announced a monthly winner during the school year.  Other sponsors of the campaign include Kiss107, ESPN1530, Fox19 and 700WLW.   House was named the Athlete of Month in December and therefore was a finalist for Athlete of the Year.

Fox19's Joe Danneman made the announcement that House won the award out of a field of 7 other student athletes from around the tri-state area.  House competed as a swimmer at St. Xavier HS and was a part of the record breaking 2016-2017 Division I State Championship team.  He also became the most decorated swimmer in OHSAA history by winning 13 Individual State Championships over four years.  He set 4 state records at the state meet on February 25, 2017 in the events of 200 yard freestyle, 500 yard freestyle, 200 yard freestyle relay and 400 yard freestyle relay.

Grant will attend Arizona State University next year and will swim for the Sun Devils.  He plans to major in Exercise and Wellness and Entrepreneurship.
