Swimming World Places AquaBombers in Final Four

After a record setting performance at the Ohio State Championships and the top ranking by the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (NISCA), the St. Xavier Swimming & Diving squad placed 4th in the United States by Swimming World Magazine. This is the highest finish since 2004 by St. X in the “SW” tally. The publication calculates team scoring by using the top 16 performances in each swimming event.

Led by a trio of top eight relays, the strongest performance by any school, the AquaBombers racked up 91 points.

In addition to the relays, Grant House (JR) placed 13th in the 200 Free (1:36.93) and 14th in the 500 Free (4:24.61).

LaSalle College High School of Pennsylvania finished first with 119.5 points. Less than 1.75 seconds separated the top five teams when scored in this format. Brecksville Broadview Heights, the Ohio runner-up, placed sixth in this prestigious poll with 73 points.
