2023 Walk 4 X Donation Page
On Friday, September 22 the St. Xavier student body will participate in the 50th Anniversary of the Walk4X. The Walk4X is the only and biggest student fundraiser for the school. Homeroom begins at 9:00 A.M. followed by a pep rally and then the Walk.
The money raised from the Walk4X goes towards bridging the gap between the cost of tuition and the actual cost of educating a student at St. Xavier. Each student has a goal of raising $90 for the Walk4X.
In honor of its 25th reunion, the Class of 1997 designated their class gift to permanently endow the Walk4X. All the expenses for the Walk4X will be offset by the generosity of the Class of 1997. 2023 is the 50th Anniversary of the first Walk4X in 1973. It is also the 50th Anniversary of Fr. Pedro Arrupe coining the motto and challenging all of us to be “Men for Others.” Thank you to the men of the Class of 1997 for truly living up to this motto of “Men for Others” with this wonderful endowment. Below is an article from 1996 that explains how the Class of 1997 brought back the Walk4X after a 10-year hiatus.
