Saturday Special Olympics Program

The Saturday Special Olympics program pairs St. Xavier High School students with adults with disabilities and lets them interact through bowling. Student volunteers enjoy working with the bowlers who are genuinely grateful for having the students' time and attention. St. X volunteers truly make a difference in their lives.

This service opportunity exposes St. X students to a population that is often neglected within our culture. As some students may be intimidated by the disabled, this program provides students with a great, non-threating way to interact with these adults. This is a great experience of being with others – not just for others.

Special Olympic bowling activities take place on one Saturday each month from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Stones Lanes in Norwood. Regular attendance is important.
