Saturday Morning Service
Saturday Morning Service at St. Xavier began in 1992 with a few students doing housing rehab. Currently over four hundred students work with a variety of agencies that are dedicated to improving low-income housing and the quality of life for the poor and vulnerable in our city, country and world. In recent years, we have added an environmental component to Saturday Morning Service as we partner with agencies whose mission is to preserve, restore and enhance the environment.
Students commit to one Saturday each month at one of over 15 agencies through the city. We have worked closely with most of these institutions for many years, which allows strong relationships with people with whom we work and serve. We stress the importance of regular attendance as a crucial component to all of our programs.
The Saturday Morning Service program is a great entry point for our students to become involved with community service.
