A Message from the Principal
Dear St. Xavier Parents/Guardians:
St. Xavier will be providing COVID updates to you every few weeks throughout the school year. Our plan is to continue to provide transparent communication to our community, including reminders regarding protocols and updates from the Hamilton County and Ohio Departments of Health.
Since August 1, St. Xavier has had six students and two staff members test positive for COVID. Two of the students and the two staff members contracted COVID prior to the start of the school year. They all quarantined and are back in the building. We have had four students test positive for COVID since August 17. Two students are back in the building and two are still in quarantine. We believe that every positive case was contracted outside of St. Xavier; we do not see any evidence of spread within St. Xavier High School. This is great news and evidence that our plan is working!
We appreciate the communication from our families related to COVID symptoms and exposure. Please continue to reach out to us so we can provide guidance on the best way to move forward to protect your son and the St. X community. If you have questions, feel free to call me at 761-7815, ext. 177 or the following individuals:
Sandy Grammel, school nurse: ext. 745 Mike Gordon, athletic trainer: ext. 330
A few reminders related to COVID procedures and protocols:
The work of our entire community has allowed for a successful start to our school year. Please continue to follow our protocols both inside and out of St. Xavier. This is especially important as we enter Labor Day weekend, one that is traditionally reserved for barbeques and parties. Please encourage your son to continue to make good decisions.
Have a safe weekend!
