End of Year Information May 27, 2020 Parents, Your son should have received an email from me on May 12 with his appointment time for next week's book turn-in and locker clean-out. That email also included a link to sign-up for an evening appointment time if he is unable to make it to school during his assigned time. Yesterday, all students were sent the instructions below. Please be sure your son has noted his appointment day and time, and has reviewed the instructions. In order to follow health guidelines limiting the number of people in a space, we ask that only the student enters the building. Thank you for helping us accomplish this task while following health guidelines. Sincerely, Brian Schaeper Dean of Students - Things to Bring/Wear:
- Bring all books provided by the school to be turned in. - Bring a bag to carry the contents of your locker. - Wear your student ID. - Bring and wear your own mask. If you do not have one, we will provide one as you enter the building. - Park in the main student parking lot by the gym entrances.
- Enter the building through the Berning Gym Lobby (by the sculpture).
- Seniors can return your gown to a graduate services van that will be parked near this entrance (you can keep your cap and tassel). - Clean out your locker.
- Look up your Locker number in Powerschool in advance (save a screen shot on your phone) - If you cannot remember your combination, a staff member will be in the hall to help unlock your locker. - Take your lock home with you. - If you have an athletic locker, go there first before going to your school locker. - Follow one-way traffic flow in the hallways, which will be indicated by signs and staff members' directions.
- After cleaning out your locker, go to the Ellis gym via the Chapel hallway.
- Follow the designated path through the Ellis gym and the Berning gym to departmental tables to return your books.
- If you have not been able to find a textbook, please go to that department's table and tell a staff member. - In addition to the departmental tables in the gym, there will also be tables to pick up medications from the nurse, check lost-and-found items, and turn in library books. - The Learning Center will have a table in the Berning Gym to collect donations of the following items: i. Gently used books, especially mandatory reading materials (novels, summer reading requirements, anthologies, etc.) ii. School supplies that are still useable and in good shape (notebooks, note cards, writing utensils, art supplies, binders, etc.) iii. Gently used spirit wear, belts, and ties iv. Gently used backpacks - Exit directly into the parking lot from the Berning Gym.
- Practice social distancing the whole time you are in the building.
