Principal's Weekly Good afternoon,
Today, in addition to Music Fest, we celebrated the final day of the Class of 2019 with our Senior Exit Interviews. This is an opportunity for our students to reflect on their four years at St. X and offer their perspective on how they grew, where the school succeeded, and where we continue to have areas of growth. This is a very Ignatian practice: our students reflect on their experiences at St. X and offer their perspective in order to improve the school for the young men who will follow in their footsteps.
The upcoming week is our final week of activities for the 2018-19 school year:
Thank you to following people for their recent work:
We have a big weekend with athletics and state competition:
Finally, I would like to thank the parents of our seniors for their support and sacrifice over the last four years. It has been a pleasure for all of us to serve your sons. Thank you for giving us the opportunity.
Thanks,
Terry Tyrrell
Unique students are what make St. Xavier special. Each week we will highlight a variety of students and their accomplishments, putting a face to the wide breadth of talent and gifts to the idea of being you and belonging to the Long Blue Line. If you would like to share an accomplishment about your son, please email Becky Schulte, Director of Communications and Marketing, at bschulte@stxavier.org. The goal of this course is to help your son become better acclimated to the software and technology he will use on a daily basis. The course- called "Bombers 2023" - is organized around a series of modules (or units). Completion of this course is required and your son's performance in this course will transfer to an English 1 quiz grade during the first quarter. The course will be open from Monday June 3 until Friday August 23. Click here for the information on the course.

On exam days students must follow the same attendance procedures as on class days. Any unexcused absence from an exam will result in a grade of zero for the exam. Community Service
Mission Collection Thank you so much to the St. Xavier students, teachers and community who donated to the mission collection this year. This year our community raised $57,273.20 to help those in need here in Cincinnati and abroad.
Organizations we have supported do great things like teaching families on government assistance to prepare healthy meals, help victims of Hurricane Michael and teach vocational skills to marginalized tribal groups in the mountains of Thailand.
One of our last collections went to the Literacy Network of Cincinnati and was used to buy 400 books for students with reading deficiencies in their programs based in under served communities.
From the Literacy Network: "The children loved the books and we encouraged them to continue reading with their families this summer. As you may know, some of them have never owned their own books before, so this was such a treat for them."
