    Head Swimming Coach
    Tim was named Head Swimming Coach of the Aquabombers' program after Jim Brower stepped aside to be an assistant coach after the 2014-2015 season. Tim Beerman was thrilled to return once again to the pool deck at St. Xavier as an assistant coach in 2014-15. His 18 years of prior high school coaching with both St. Xavier and Ursuline Academy have allowed him to learn from some of the best coaches in the sport and provided opportunities to witness the personal growth of countless athletes from first-time competitors to State champions and record-setters. Coach Beerman has 15 years of teaching experience at St. Xavier and Ursuline Academy. His passion lies in promoting faith as a lived reality in the lives of others as a continual opportunity for growth, renewal and relationship with Christ. He has been active in Bellarmine Chapel's 7PM music ministry for over 10 years and has mentored countless students through teaching, retreat ministry and mission trip experiences.

    Assistant Head Coach
    Jim Brower is now an assistant coach as he stepped down from the head coaching helm after the 2014-2015 season. He became head swimming coach for the Aquabombers in the 1988-89 season. After finishing 3rd in the state meet his first year at the helm, Brower led St. Xavier to five straight State titles. Following his sixth season, he took a break from coaching to spend time with his family. Returning as head coach three years later, Brower picked up where he left off and led the Bombers to nine straight State titles from 1999 through 2007 and another seven straight from 2009 –15. He amassed 21 state titles in 23 years as head coach and stands first all-time for all sports in men's state championships in Ohio history. Coach Brower has been named National High School Coaches Association Coach of the Year (2004), Ohio Coach of the Year (2011, 2010, 2009, 2005, 2001,1990), as well as GCL, Southwest District and Cincinnati Coach of the Year multiple times. Brower's teams garnered recognition from Swimming World Magazine in 1992 and 2001 when they were named National Champions. Among dozens of swimmers who have gone on to be high school all-Americans and swim at the collegiate level, Brower has coached two National High School Swimmers of the Year in Olympic-gold-medalist Joe Hudepohl ('92) and NCAA Champion Jayme Cramer ('01). Brower grew up in Canton, Ohio, where he swam for Glenoak High School and was the 100 breaststroke state champion in 1982. He went on to swim at the University of Cincinnati (under assistant coaches Tom & Debbie Keefe), where he earned his BA in Education as well as his MBA. He has coached at Montgomery Swim Club, Sycamore Flying Fish, and currently assists with the Cincinnati Marlins in the off-season. Aside from his swimming duties, Brower is a 25+ year teacher in St. Xavier's math department, ranging from Algebra 2 to Calculus, and also served as an assistant coach for the golf team for five seasons. Jim is the father of Andrew ('12).

    Assistant Head Coach
    Tom Keefe ('68) has been involved in high school, collegiate, and professional sports for over 40 years as an athlete, coach, administrator, teacher, attorney, and scout. Coach Keefe earned his undergraduate and law degrees from the University of Cincinnati. In 1980, he became as assistant head swimming coach at UC where during his eight years the Bearcats recorded seven top-25 finishes and produced 10 All-Americans. He continued his affiliation with UC as an adjunct assistant professor teaching Philosophy of Sports for 25 years. In 1990, Keefe became general manager for the Cincinnati Spirit in the Great Lakes Summer Collegiate Baseball League. During his tenure, the Spirit won the League Championship and sent 42 players to pro baseball, seven of whom reached the majors. Following the 1993 season, he joined the professional scouting ranks initially with the Marlins and since 2003 with the Los Angeles Dodgers. In 1998 Coach Keefe returned to the St. Xavier pool deck as a member of the Aquabombers coaching staff. During his tenure, St. Xavier has won 16 state championships and produced 76 all-Americans, as well as being crowned National Champs by both Swimming World Magazine (2001) and the National Interscholastic Swimming Coaches Association (1999, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2007, 2008, 2015). Keefe is also Vice President and General Counsel for Patriot Signage, Inc. He has been active with the Jesuit Spiritual Center at Milford for 40+ years. Keefe was awarded the "Respect the Game of Life" award from St. Ursula Academy in 2015. He and his wife, Debbie, have two daughters, three grandchildren, and are lifelong residents of Greater Cincinnati.

    Assistant Coach
    Dave Albert ('08) returned to St. Xavier as a coach in the fall of 2009, becoming the youngest coach in Aquabomber history. He sets a high standard for the athletes with whom he works and instills a passion for the sport and team while quickly developing quality competitors. As a St. Xavier swimmer, Albert specialized in breaststroke, capturing first place as a sophomore at the Fred Cooper Memorial District Invitational. He followed that up with top 6 finishes in breaststroke the next two seasons at the GCL Championships, where he was a member of the winning 200 medley relay as a senior. He also was elected captain his final year. Albert continued competitive swimming as a student at Xavier University where he founded their Club team in 2010. In 2013, he earned dual degrees in sports management and organizational communications at Xavier. His coaching activities extend to a year-round position with the Mercy Health Plex Sea Wolves. He is a travel coach with the U.S. Paralympic Swim Team in the summer returns to coach at North Hills Swim Club where his swimming and coaching career began.

    Assistant Coach
    Don "D" DiGiacomo joined the Aquabomber staff in 2013, bringing 32 years of experience as a high school and youth coach (29 at St. Xavier).For the previous three seasons, he was an assistant with the cross country team as they won consecutive state championships in 2012 and 2013.A baseball coach from 1984 to 2013, he helped guide the Bombers to their first state baseball championship in 2003.He also has been involved with the football team (1982-97) and wrestling team (1988-89). Coach D has taught physical education and health at St. Xavier since 1988.He currently serves as the PE/Health/Intramural Department Chair, previously serving a brief stint as assistant principal (1997-99). He attended the University of Cincinnati (BA Ed-1986) and Xavier University (MEd Sports Administration-1997).Recently he has served on the Parent Advisory Committee for the OHYA Lionfish swim program (2009-present).Coach DiGiacomo resides in Western Hills with his wife, Mollie; daughter, Cece; and son, Luke ('18).

    Zachary "Z" Vogelpohl ('12) joined the Aquabomber staff in 2013, and leads Group III.As a St. Xavier student, he swam all four years.In 2011, he began coaching at North Hills Swim Club, assisting former St. Xavier assistant coach David Albert. He is a student at Xavier University, studying biology; he is vice president of Xavier's water polo club.
