Tuition & Assistance

Tuition for the 2018-19 school year is $14,995.

There are 3 payment options:

  • Payment-in-full due July 2018.
  • Quarterly payments due July 2018, September 2018, November 2018 and January 2019.
  • Monthly (10 payments) due July 2018 through April 2019.

Tuition Assistance

A St. Xavier High School education is a priceless investment in a young man's future. St. X wants to enable every deserving young man -- regardless of financial circumstance -- the opportunity to receive a St. Xavier education. For the 2018-19 school year, 41% of students are receiving some amount of tuition assistance. The average amount granted is approximately $7,500.

As requests for assistance exceed the amount available ($4.6 million for 2018-19) it is necessary to establish policies and procedures for distributing tuition assistance grants to ensure consistency and fairness. FACTS Management Company (FACTS) is used as an objective evaluator and interpreter of financial need based on criteria applied to data submitted by the financial aid applicants.

Although each application is reviewed on a case-by-case basis and consideration is given to any special family circumstances, grants are mainly determined on the basis of family financial resources and the number of children attending schools that charge tuition.

  • Families whose last names begin with A through L, please contact Brian Geeding, Interim Director of Enrollment at 513.618.3258.
  • Families whose last names begin with M through Z, please contact Mike Dehring, Assistant Vice President of Enrollment at 513.761.7815 x133.

Parents of any incoming freshman (Class of 2023) must submit their FACTS application by November 19, 2018 - including families with current St. Xavier students. Please contact the Enrollment Office with any questions.

Applications that show a clear need for an amount of aid based on the FACTS calculation, which considers income and other resources, will be listed for the Tuition Assistance Committee showing the amount needed (or requested, if less). Those that clearly do not qualify will be listed as “denied." The committee will review all submitted applications.

EdChoice Voucher Eligibility For The Class Of 2023

The State of Ohio provides a limited number of state-funded scholarships to students who attend public schools that the state has designated as low-performing. These scholarships may be used to attend private schools, including St. Xavier.

Eligibility is limited to 1) students who are currently attending a public school designated as low-performing and 2) students currently enrolled in a public school who would be assigned to attend one of the public schools designated as low-performing in the upcoming school year.

Also, students assigned to a low-performing public school who are currently attending a private school with an EdChoice voucher can apply to transfer the voucher to St. Xavier. Students currently attending private school without a voucher and home-schooled students are not eligible.

The list of EdChoice-designated public schools can be found at
