The Ohio Seal of Technology recognizes graduating seniors who can demonstrate the global impact of technology and use it to design solutions and communicate ideas. Students earn the Technology Seal through St. Xavier HS by demonstrating knowledge and skills through College Credit Plus coursework.

The Technology Seal is a statement that is added to a student’s transcript at the time of graduation that reads: “___ is awarded the Ohio Seal of Technology for demonstrating a high level of proficiency in technology”.

To earn Ohio’s Technology Seal at St. Xavier, students must satisfy the following requirements:

  • Earn a “B” or higher in Two (2) College Credit Plus (CCP) technology courses taught through the St. Xavier HS Computer Science Department. Or one CCP course plus the Honors Cybersecurity course.
  • Current CCP classes offered at St. Xavier include: IT Fundamentals, Networking, Web Design, Programming, and Cybersecurity (Honors).

The Computer Science CCP classes are open to any Sophomore, Junior, or Senior. Interested students must follow the Credit College Plus Guidelines. St. Xavier HS partners with the University of Cincinnati to provide these courses. General Dates include:

  • In January  – attend the CCP Information Night virtual presentation (see above)
  • In March – Apply to the University of Cincinnati
  • April 1 – State funding application must be submitted by 5:00 p.m.
