Class Schedules
Class schedules for the 2023-24 school year were posted in PowerSchool on Thursday, July 20 at 3 p.m. (https://stxavier.powerschool.com/public).
To view your schedule, please login to PowerSchool via a web browser (Chrome, Firefox, etc.), NOT the mobile app. If your PowerSchool password has expired or you do not remember your password, send an email to helpdesk@stxavier.org.
Action items
- Log in to PowerSchool and view your schedule: View the instructions to login to PowerSchool.
- Order supplemental books based on scheduled classes: Supplemental Religion class books can be found below.
- Request schedule adjustment if applicable: Your schedule is final. Students may not add courses or switch schedules around for a preferred free period. There are two circumstances under which students may request an adjustment:
- Drop a 7th class, provided it is an elective and replace it with a free bell.
- If you are scheduled in a course with a teacher you have previously taken a course with, you may request a teacher change. The change will only be made if it is possible to do so within the schedule.
Schedule adjustment request process:
The dates outlined below will be the only opportunity to submit a request for an adjustment. Please read the guidelines carefully and follow the process listed below. Walk-in and/or phone requests will NOT be considered.
- Seniors: Tuesday, July 25
- Juniors and Sophomores: Wednesday, July 26
- Freshmen - Not Applicable
On the designated day STUDENTS may send an email to courseadjustments@stxavier.org with their name and graduation year in the subject line. The following information must be included in the body of the email:
- Course name and number
- Reason for request (i.e. dropping a 7th class, or previously scheduled teacher)
Only one email submission per student is permitted, but it may contain more than one request.
- After each request is reviewed, results will be emailed to the student's St. Xavier email address.
- All adjustments are final.
NOTES
- Every attempt was made to schedule students into primary course requests; however, alternate requests were used when necessary. If alternates were not available, free bells were added in their place.
- Adjustments to schedules are limited to those described above or other changes that are deemed academically valid by the Assistant Principal for Academics.
- Most classes are at their maximum capacity - students may not add classes.
- Please note students are allowed to drop a 7th class elective within the first five days of school by contacting their counselor/college advisor.
- As communicated during the course registration process, AP courses may not be dropped.
- If a student has six classes on his schedule, HE MAY NOT ADD AN ADDITIONAL CLASS AND HE MAY NOT DROP.

Prefects
St. Xavier High School
Parent Prefect Volunteer Opportunity
2023-2024
The school needs you!!!
Parent volunteers serve the school by monitoring classes for teachers who are chaperoning student retreats, attending professional meetings, or out for some other professional reason. By performing these services in place of faculty members who would otherwise take these duties, prefects are freeing teachers to meet with students and prepare for their classes.
No teaching experience is necessary. Teachers prepare assignments for students to do on their own. The prefects simply supervise the students as they do these assignments in their regular classrooms.
The prefect volunteer coordinator will send out a weekly Sign-Up Genius for you to sign up to volunteer. You decide how many hours you would like to volunteer in any given week, and you can design your volunteer hours around your schedule. For example, some volunteers serve 1-2 hours weekly, while some just 1-2 hours a month. It’s very flexible. In addition to helping the school, you will have the opportunity to have an insider’s experience of the workings of the school.
If you would like to be a Parent Prefect or would like more information about the program, please contact our parent prefect volunteer coordinator, Ruth Ward, at rward@starone.com or (513) 708-4400. Once she hears from you, she will send you more information about the program, how to get you registered with the school, and add your contacts details to the prefect email distribution list.
There will be a group in-person training scheduled after school starts in August for Parent Prefects. New and returning volunteers are invited to attend. If you are unable to attend this meeting, Ruth will send you detailed instructions via email and she will be available for questions.
