Sr. Thea

On Friday, as part of our celebration of National Black Catholic History Month our Religion and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion departments collaborated to share the documentary on the life of Sister Thea Bowman. Sister Thea is on track to become one of the first Black Catholic saints from the United States. She believed deeply that her faith could open up ways to break down racial and cultural divides, and she was known for her willingness to speak the “true truth” at all times, whether on CBS’s 60 minutes or in front of all of the US Catholic Bishops at their annual meeting.

Please take some time to listen to the story of an amazing woman who was a true servant leader who knew at 15 what GOD wanted her to do with her life…
