This summer students and adults participated in week long service and immersion trips to a variety of locations.  They learned more about issues and challenges families face in urban cities and Appalachia.  They lived simply and learned to be away from the constant connection of cell phones and social media.  Also built relationships with other students, chaperones, and local community members while discovering new talents, skills, and ways of thinking while in a new environment.
