The St. Xavier Quiz Bombers are the Ohio 2026 National Academic Quiz Tournament (NAQT) State Champions!

The Quiz Team, represented by John Paul Galles ('27), Henry Joecken ('26), Andrew Kramer ('26), and Ryan Kramer ('26), cleared the tournament field with a perfect 10-0 record at the 2026 Ohio NAQT Championship held in Bellefontaine on Saturday.

Mason, Little Miami, and Ottawa Hills tied for 2^nd place with records of 8-2.

This is the second-ever state Quiz Bowl title in school history. The first was in 1997 under Coach John Hussong.

This championship also marks first time since 2009 that the NAQT state title has belonged to a Cincinnati-area team.

The Quiz Team is next set to appear in the 2026 Ohio Academic Competition (OAC) regionals tournament held at Indian Hill this Saturday. The Bombers will also compete at the NAQT High School National Championship Tournament in Atlanta, GA over Memorial Day weekend.
