In exotic locations and closer to home, students answered the call to serve.
True to the Jesuit tradition, St. Xavier students continue to answer the call to serve. 108 Juniors and accompanying staff attended 12 different mission trips this summer. The trips ranged from local service endeavors such as feeding citizens in Over the Rhine to international efforts like teaching children in Costa Rica. In May, the entire St. Xavier community celebrated Mass to bless the participants and fulfill the Jesuit dictate to "Ite, inflammate omnia" that is 'Go, set the world on fire' with their good works. Students worked with children, adults with special needs, communities with environmental needs and more. We look forward to hearing about their service as school commences.
