Academic Awards celebrate the accomplishments of St. Xavier students for their classroom studies as well as academically connected activities outside of school. Many have taken part in local, statewide, and national tests and competitions and performed well. Faculty from each academic department and academic extracurricular choose their top performing students to receive a Magis Award. Magis is taken from the unofficial motto of the Jesuits, Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam (AMDG) which can be translated “For the Greater Glory of God”. It is a term closely connected with developing and using their gifts for the benefit of others. Indeed, the young men being honored are developing their gifts fully in the recognized areas.  Congratulations to all of our award winners!
