Cincinnati---St. Xavier High School is excited to announce the hiring of Paul Splitt as the Head Varsity Water Polo Coach.   Coach Splitt is the USA Water Polo Olympic Development Program Great Lakes Zone Head Coach for Boys 18U and the Moose Water Polo Club Head Coach for Boys and Girls 18U and 14 U Co-ed teams. 

“We are excited to have Coach Splitt head up our Water Polo program. His experience with the USA Water Polo Olympic program and at local level for the past number of years will help us continue to be an elite program in the state and beyond. His experience educating students not only in water polo but as a leader of mission trips and in the classroom truly embodies what the mission of St. X is all about as we strive to form men for and with others. We look forward to Coach Splitt building on the great foundation of St. Xavier Water Polo and taking it to the next level,” said Brian Reinhart, St. Xavier High School Athletic Director.

Coach Splitt holds his undergraduate degree from Northern Kentucky University and a Masters from Concordia University. He works as a Physical Education Instructor for Sycamore Community Schools.  Coach Splitt was named the Cincinnati Enquirer Water Polo Coach of the Year in 2018.

Coach Splitt said, “I am thankful to have the opportunity to lead the St. Xavier Water Polo program.  St. Xavier is a special place in the aquatic world and this is an opportunity to work with the best program in the country. I am very excited to join a culture that cares about building the person first and the athlete second. I am very excited to get to meet the families and introduce them to my philosophy on coaching and style of water polo.
