Reporting Abuse
St. Xavier has a zero-tolerance policy regarding incidents of inappropriate conduct with minors or vulnerable adults. If a sexual abuse claim should ever be made by a student at St. Xavier, we would swiftly and immediately report the incident to law enforcement, the appropriate child protective agency, and the US Midwest Jesuit Province. St. Xavier would fully cooperate with the investigation and would also provide pastoral, ministerial care to the victim.
If you or anyone you know has felt victimized by a Jesuit or any St. Xavier employee, please contact law enforcement, child protection, and St. Xavier Directly by clicking here. We are available at your convenience to assist in any way necessary. In addition, victims may contact Ms. Marjorie O’Dea, the Province Director of the Office of Safe Environment at 773.975.6876 or by mail at the USA Midwest Province, 1010 North Hooker Street, Chicago, Illinois 60642.
We encourage you to take this time to talk with your children about unacceptable behaviors like grooming and mental and sexual abuse. Our hope is that the following links, provided by our school counseling department, will help you as you speak with your sons.

Please join us in praying for the healing of any precious young people, those who are not adults or deceased, and their families who may have been wounded by such abuse, and in many cases have lived in darkness and pain for too long. Let us also pray for our Church. We should pray to be resolved in our faith to seek justice, care for the wounded and commit to the healing message of the Gospel.
