 Paul Steinway

 

Coach Paul “Bean” Steinway started his tenure with the Aquabombers in the 1983-‘84 season assisting coaches Tim Blood and Mark Sullivan. He also coached with the Cincinnati Marlins from 1984-’88 working with various age groups. Moving on to the University of Cincinnati, Paul was an assistant coach while completing his degree in Physical Education.

Coach Steinway headed west in 1990 assuming the Head Coaching position at Hillenbrand Aquatics in Tucson. He served in that capacity until 1997. He stayed busy also assisting with the University of Arizona Wildcats under Frank Busch and serving as Chair of Senior Swimming for Arizona USS.

In 1997 “Bean” returned home to rejoin the Marlins (1997-1998) and subsequently St. X 1998-present. The many State, National and International Championships represent his success as a coach.

Paul and wife Sarah (an outstanding high school and collegiate swimmer) have two sons Steven (’10) and Tyler. He is employed at Patriot Signage, Inc and is very active in the RCIA program at Our Lady of the Rosary in Greenhills.
