Campus Life
St. Xavier strives to provide opportunities outside the classroom to complement our rigorous academic program. These co-curricular opportunities invite students to share their gifts and talents with the St. Xavier community. We believe participation in co-curricular programs and events assists students in being open to growth, religious, committed to justice, loving and intellectually competent.
St. Xavier students are encouraged to GET INVOLVED in any way they can. We also encourage students to stay involved and find a healthy balance as they move from freshmen year to senior year. On any given day, students can be found practicing opening statements for an upcoming Mock Trial competition, completing a sculpture in the art wing, singing a new song for a concert, tutoring at a nearby grade school and rehearsing their lines for the upcoming theatrical performance. St. Xavier is fortunate to have facilities that allow multiple events to occur simultaneously, so we do not limit how many clubs or activities we offer. Also, with time available during the school day for clubs to meet, a students can easily find an activity that not only interests him, but also meets at a time convenient for his schedule (which is especially nice for students who do not yet drive).
There is always something happening at St. Xavier. The lessons students learn inside the classroom are strengthened through the activities in which they participate outside the classroom. Balancing academics, co-curriculars and life help prepare them for the future. Whether on the stage, at a housing rehab site or at an academic competition, St. Xavier students can be found striving for the magis - excellence in all they do - while exploring their place in the Long Blue Line.
