North Bend Crown Stays at St. Xavier
Friendly and competitive rivalries can be hard to find. But when the annual “battle for North Bend Road” takes place it is done so with spirit, class and quality performances. St. Xavier prevailed 194-92 and picked up wins in eight of eleven events.
Evan Schell (JR) led the way with two individual wins (200 Free, 100 Back, 400 Free Relay). Other multiple winners were Carter Dwyer (SR) (200 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay), Luke DiGiacomo (SR) (200 Medley Relay, 100 Breast), William Lopez (SR) (200 Medley Relay, 200 Free Relay), Cooper Williams (FR) (200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay) and Teddy Bayer (SR) (100 Free, 200 Free Relay, 400 Free Relay).
Jeff Osterman (SO) swam his way to a win in the 200 IM where the AquaBomber went 1-4. He was joined by Williams, DiGiacomo and Drew Mussman (FR). It was a very balanced attack by the Long Blue Lane as quality depth prevailed. Besides the eight wins the team picked up four seconds and nine third place finishes.
