Cross Country Bombers Win Big All Over State
After a very successful week at Lebanon, the cross country Bombers headed to Princeton, Mason, and Tiffin. The Bombers top two teams headed to Tiffin, Ohio to compete in the Tiffin Cross Country Carnival. In the Varsity A race, the Bombers won with a score of 72 points as the second place team, Medina, had a score of 106 points. The Bombers were led by senior Peter Dauenhauer who ran to a 5th place finish with a time of 15:46 (5 points). In 12th place, was junior Matthew Hoak who ran a time of 16:02 (12 points). Right behind him in 13th place was junior Joe Doogan who ran a time of 16:03 (13 points). Next for the Bombers was senior Michael Holly in 19th place who ran a time of 16:16 (19 points). In 23rd place was senior Jack Hands who ran a time of 16:22 (23 points). Next was sophomore Tommy Walters in 26th place with a time of 16:24. Lastly, for the Bombers, was junior Nick Mills who ran a time of 16:48 and finished 53rd.
In the Varsity B race at Tiffin, the Bombers won with 38 points. The second place team was St. Ignatius with 96 points. The Bombers were led by senior Jonathan Stansbury in 3rd place with a time of 16:42. Behind him in 6th place was sophomore John Dillon with a time of 16:52. Next for the Bombers was junior Zane Reeb in 8th place with a time of 16:53. Behind him in 9th was freshman Conor Bohrer with a time of 16:58. In 12th place was sophomore Andrew Gebhardt with a time of 17:14. Behind him in 25th place was junior Sam Hinnenkamp with a time of 17:35. Lastly, for the Bombers was sophomore Michael Hazel with a time of 18:17.
Another Varsity team had a great showing at the Mason Invitational with a 10th place finish. First for the Bombers was freshman Nathan Mountain in 34th place with a time of 17:15. Next for the Bombers in 50th place was junior Michael Srinivasan with a time of 17:44. Next was sophomore Jacob Wheeler in 55th place with a time of 17:56. Right behind him was junior Ryan Devlin Bergman with a time of 17:57. Next for the Bombers was junior Z Komanecky in 70th place with a time of 18:13. Next was junior Aiden Soberano in 76th place with a time of 18:27, and right behind him were juniors Tyler Hilgeman, Brian Mauch, and Ted Cordonnier all running an 18:29.
Finally, the rest of the team raced at the Princeton Invitational. In the Varsity race, the team placed 3rd with 90 points. They were led by junior Griffin Paul in 12th place. Following him were freshmen Jack Thompson and Colin Sorensen with times of 17:28. Behind them was sophomore David Molinsky with a time of 17:48. Behind him was sophomore Patrick Hang with a time of 17:51. The Bombers Open team won the race with 19 points. They were led by sophomore Jack Dauenhauer who won the race with a time of 17:38. In 2nd place was junior Ethan Reed with a 17:54, and in 3rd place was freshman Brady Mahoney with a time of 17:54.
