The #1 seeded Varsity Lacrosse team won their first ever OHSAA State Tournament Lacrosse game on Wednesday night over #18 seeded Walnut Hills by a score of 27-1. This is the first year that the OHSAA has taken Boys Lacrosse under its wings and therefore its first Boys Lacrosse Tournament. St. Xavier received the #1 seed in Region 4 because of their 14-4 regular season record by votes of the coaches and has the opportunity to host games until the Regional Finals at St. Xavier HS.
The next game in the OHSAA Div. I Boys Lacrosse State Tournament for St. Xavier is against Lakota West HS on Saturday, May 20 at 5:00 pm at St. Xavier Stadium. The Firebirds enter the game as the #8 seed in the region after finishing the regular season with a 12-5 record. Lakota West defeated Elder on Wednesday night by a score of 11-8 to advance to the Regional Quarter Final game.
The gates will open at 4:00 pm and admission is $7.00. Only OHSAA passes will be accepted.
