Why St. X?
The Jesuit ideal of Cura Personalis is a Latin phrase signifying care for the whole person. At St. Xavier we are intentional in our approach to how we interact with the young men who walk our hallways. It is our responsibility and sincere desire that all our students feel welcomed and that we create an atmosphere where they feel a part of something greater than themselves. To this end, our faculty and administration take a deliberate approach to supporting all our students and encourage them to cultivate their unique gifts and talents. St. Xavier offers a myriad of opportunities and programs that allow for this personal care.
Walking through the hallways of St. Xavier feels and looks like the larger community with a student body from 90 grade schools across the three states and transfer students from around the globe. With 227 multicultural students currently enrolled, making up approximately 14% of our student body, we are deepening relationships, improving communication skills, and cultivating the growth of multicultural competencies in every student. Additionally, approximately 20% of our student body worship in other faiths including but not limited to Buddhist, Protestant, Hindu, Jewish, and Muslim.
