Transfer Students Are Welcome at St. X
Transfer Students Are Welcome at St. X
From the “Things You Might Not Know" file, St. Xavier High School actually does accept transfer students.
“The popular myth has always been if you don’t get accepted as a freshman, you don’t ever go to St. X,” said Rod Hinton, director of admissions. “But it’s not true. Over the last decade we have accepted a number of transfer students who are prepared academically and socially to contribute immediately to the tradition of being a St. Xavier student.”
“Because of high enrollment, often times a qualified student who was not originally accepted will reapply after his freshman year. Sometimes we have people who are moving in from out of town. Maybe it’s a case where a young man didn’t have the kind of experience he thought he would in his neighborhood school. Whatever the case, we welcome qualified transfer applicants for incoming sophomores and juniors.”
If you are - or if you know somebody who is - interested and well-qualified to transfer to St. Xavier, please contact a member of our admissions staff at 513-761-7600. To learn more about the transfer process or to apply, please click here.
