Clear Channel Radio and St. X Football Team Up for 2010 Season
Clear Channel Radio announced today that they have entered into an agreement with St. Xavier High School to broadcast 2010 regular season and post season football games on Fox Sports 1360. The agreement also includes broadcasting all games world wide on Foxsports1360.com. As St. X has done since the 2005 season, if you are not by a radio or out of the Greater Cincinnati area game links will be provided on www.stxavier.org.
“We are excited to add one of the premier high school football teams in the country to our lineup of great sports programming” said Joe Fredrick, General Sales Manager for Fox Sports 1360, 700 WLW, and ESPN 1530. “St. X has long been recognized as one of the top academic high schools in the nation and their commitment to excellence has carried over into athletics. We are proud to be associated with such a quality program.”
“Building a partnership with Fox Sports 1360 is a great opportunity for the school in general and athletic department in particular,” said John Sullivan, athletic director for St. Xavier. “We have a chance to promote our students and their accomplishments in a unique way with these weekly broadcasts. We have a challenging schedule against some of the top teams in the city, State, and country and I feel certain sports fans will enjoy the effort and intensity of Bomber football.”
Besides games against GCL rivals Elder, Moeller, and LaSalle, the Steve Specht coached Bombers will play traditional powerhouses Indianapolis Cathedral, Louisville St. Xavier, Cleveland St. Ignatius.
The long time internet voices of the Bombers Tony Schad and Ralph Nardini will handle the play-by-play and color. “We are proud of our webcasts over the last five football seasons and how they’ve helped us share St. X football with our alumni, family, and friends around the world, but also carry news of the ongoing good work of the school in general to our audience.” Said St. X President Fr. Tim Howe S.J. “We look forward to expanding that audience and sharing our message with people who may not be familiar with what we do at St. X”
Fox Sports 1360 is the home of the Dan Patrick and Jim Rome shows as well as NFL Sunday Night and Monday Night Football and NCAA March Madness.
